Dr. Martin Luther King Jr; Last Speech
As a Negro, Colored, Black, African American, and recently Person Of Color. I remember as a child walking home from from school and being called the N worl by a child I did not know. I remember the feelings that I felt, and the confusion of a word designed to symbolize (less than.) Dr. King, in his last speech, acknowledges that he was willing to die for what he beleived his life stood for, and that is to be judged by the content of our character and not the color of our skin.
